Billie Eilish has been full of surprises this week. After trying out some major winged eyeliner, it’s been announced the 18-year-old singer will star in a new seven-part film series – alongside the likes of Harry Styles no less.
Yep, prepared to see Billie on the big screen, after she landed a part in Ouverture of Something That Never Happened, a film series directed by cult filmmaker Gus Van Sant and Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele.
While details about her role are currently quite sparse, what we do know is the series will revolve around actor and artist Silvia Calderoni walking around Rome, bumping into various musicians including Billie and Harry, as well as Arlo Parks and Florence Welch from Florence And The Machine.
Announcing the film series, Gucci said, “The presentation of the new collection is a joyful and irregular new tale, no longer constrained by the old notion of seasonality, closer to [Michele’s] expressive call and told by blending rules and genres, feeding on new spaces, linguistic codes and communication platforms.”
We’re not sure what that means, but we’re looking forward to seeing Billie’s involvement in the films. The seven-part movie series, part of GucciFest, which will broadcast on YouTube Fashion, Weibo, Gucci’s YouTube channel and GucciFest.com.
