O’Porter Leads Tributes To Flack On Late Star’s Birthday

Friends and colleagues of the late Caroline Flack have shared touching tributes to the TV presenter on what would have been her 41st birthday.

Singer Olly Murs, who co-presented both The X Factor and its spin-off show with Flack, said he is “remembering the memories we shared” and “that infectious laugh” on her special day, just nine months on from her tragic death.

Murs wrote: “Happy birthday Cazza! “I do wonder most days what tik tok dance I’d see you doing, what Disney song you’d be singing too or what random what’s app message I’d get from ya but instead I sit here remembering the memories we shared, and that infectious laugh you had x miss ya.”

Dawn O’Porter shared an image of Flack cuddling up to a dog and said “there is not an hour of any day that I am not thinking about Caroline.”

“It’s 1.15am here. A dream just woke me up. I love my Caroline dreams, they feel like visits,” she posted. “She’s always so happy in them. ‘Sometimes I sit on the sofa that she’s on in this photo and shut my eyes and imagine her DNA seeping through my skin and becoming a part of mine. ‘So silly the things you find yourself doing when you lose someone you adore.

“Happy birthday my funny funny loyal friend, the only thing that makes this easier is knowing how lucky I was to have you at all. Sending love to everyone who loved her too.”

Comedian and Love Island voiceover star Iain Sterling shared a snap of himself and Flack and simply posted: “Happy birthday mate x”.

Flack’s close friend Lou Teasdale shared a clip of Demi Lovato singing her track Anyone, which was recorded days before the singer suffered a drug overdose.

Lou wrote: “Happy Birthday Caroline. I wanted to post this performance today for Caroline. She loved it so much would make us watch it over and over right to the end til we were both in tears.

“I hated it, it was too sad… but I would just get in the moment with her and get to the end again so she knew I could hear what she was trying to say.

“Listen to it every day since she left, can’t stop. Happy birthday angel. I miss you.”

Dermot O’Leary’s wife, Dee Koppang O’Leary, said she misses “darling Carrie” more than ever.

Flack’s manager Nathan Smith shared beautiful videos and images of the star online as he remembered his dear friend

Posting a picture of Caroline cuddling her beloved dog Ruby, he wrote: “Hiiiiiii Happy heavenly 41st birthday. Love and miss you.”
