Cristano Ronaldo Had An Issue With His Ankle

The Portuguese player, who ended up with a knock against Lazio, will be closely monitored by the Portuguese team’s doctors before the international matches.

The Portuguese national team arrived in Lisbon last night to prepare for the three matches they will play in the next few days. Cristiano Ronaldo will be evaluated this Tuesday by Portuguese doctors to check the extent of his ankle injury.

The Portuguese player was injured last weekend in the Juventus game against Lazio during a duel with the Spanish player Luis Alberto.

In addition, in Portugal’s last match against Sweden, Ronaldo had to leave the camp after testing positive for COVID-19.

The Portuguese national team is in Lisbon to prepare for the friendly match against Andorra on Wednesday at the Estadio da Luz (Benfica) and on Tuesday morning the players will have their first training session.

During this break, the ‘Quinas’ will play two more matches corresponding to the group phase of the League of Nations. On 14 November they will host France and on 17 November they will travel to Split to play against Croatia.

Among those called up by Fernando Santos are Barcelona’s Francisco Trincão, Betis’ William Carvalho and Atletico’s João Félix.
