A great gesture from Ivan Rakitic as the Croatian used the international break to send a shirt to the son of José Reyes for his birthday, with the number ten that his father famously wore.
Ivan Rakitic left Barcelona for Sevilla for a new challenge and asked to wear the number ten jersey to pay homage to José Antonio Reyes.
The former player died in a car crash and was a close friend of Ivan Rakitic, and the Croatian wasn’t about to forget his son’s birthday.
That is why the midfielder sent him a signed shirt with the number ten that his dad used to wear.
“Thanks a lot for the shirt Rakitic. I hope that my father’s number brings you luck. Thanks, chief”, said the son of the former footballer on a video on Instagram, showing off the shirt.
