Jack Grealish, Aston Villa’s star player, said that before each game he usually motivates himself by watching videos of his favourite players.
Among them, Philippe Coutinho, from FC Barcelona, and Kevin De Bruyne, from Manchester City.
England smiles when it sees Grealish in action. The footballer is destined to be one of the best players in the ‘Three Lions’ squad.
After the 2-0 defeat against Belgium, Grealish spoke to the media. Despite the defeat, he had a great match. He spoke about how he felt being a starter for the first time with England.
“This is what I’ve been waiting for, the games I’ve always dreamed of. I grew up wanting to play for England. I knew this was my chance to impress,” he said after the match.
He also revealed his curious way of motivating himself before each game. “For the last 24 hours I have been watching videos of my favourite players. I do it in every game. I watch videos of De Bruyne, of Coutinho… of my favourites in my position. I used to do it when I was a kid and I still do it now. That’s how I motivate myself,” he explained.
His great form with Aston Villa has brought him into the agendas of the big boys. City, for example, have already prepared 100 million for his transfer, as well as that of Douglas Luiz, his team-mate.
