Liverpool Took The Lead In The Third Minute And In The 10th Minute Van Dijk Was Injured!

Liverpool didn’t want to let too much time go by to take the lead in the ‘Merseyside derby’ and that’s why they scored in the third minute. Sadio Mané caught a good assist from Robertson.

Liverpool arrived at the derby as favourites even after Everton’s fantastic start to the season.  The Reds took the lead after only three minutes.

Klopp’s team did not want to let any time pass and they took advantage of a good play on the left wing. Robertson raised his head and placed a low cross along the edge of the six-yard box.

There Mané buried the cross with a great close-range shot that Pickford was powerless to stop.

The negative side came soon after, as centre-back Van Dijk had to leave the pitch after a collision with Pickford, in which he bent his knee, and Gomez came on instead.
