Mario Gotze has found his best form again at PSV and scored lots of goals. He hopes to get back into Joachim Low’s side and the coach has not forgotten about the player who scored the World Cup winning goal for Germany against Argentina.
Since scoring the most important goal of his career back in 2014, Mario Gotze’s life has been very hectic. The midfielder had just joined Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich and he was one of the best players in the world.
He ended the 2013-14 season, his first for the Bavarians, with 15 goals and 12 assists, similar numbers to those he got at Dortmund the year before (16 goals and 15 assists).
In 2014-15 at the age of just 22, he made a whopping 48 appearances. Since then he has had injuries though and they have prevented him from playing regularly.
He played just 21 matches and then he decided to return to Dortmund where things did not improve. The fact he was under great pressure did not help him.
His role at Dortmund kept on decreasing and the club did not even try and renew him. At 28, he decided to move to Eredivisie club PSV.
He has got three goals in six games for them and the feeling is that he is getting better. Low has not forgotten about him and that is making the player keep on going.
