Los Blancos didn’t say much about the medical state of the Norwegian international, who underwent tests on Friday to try and determine the source of his injury.

Odegaard has started two Nations League games for Norway. He played 70 minutes in a 4-0 win over Romania and 78 minutes in a 1-0 victory against Northern Ireland.

The full official statement is as follows: “After the tests carried out today on our player Martin Ødegaard by the Real Madrid medical department, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the right soleus muscle. His recovery will continue to be assessed.”
