The Europa League hammering hit Milan, who started their match against Hellas Verona half asleep. A clash in which Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed a penalty, second in a row, despite this, the Swedish forward managed to score in added time.
Milan could only scrape a draw from Hellas Verona’s trip to the San Siro with a final 2-2 that came up short for Stefano Pioli’s side. A not so bad result after starting with 0-2 on the scoreboard.
Already 1-2 down the ‘rossonero’ team found itself with a penalty to equalise with more than 20 minutes to go. The one who stepped up for it was, of course, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swede, however, sent his shot into the clouds. He has missed four of the last six penalties he has taken. A task to be improved.
But Ibra did not give up. In the 92nd minute, he took advantage of the extra time to head in a cross and rescue a point for Milan in a week to forget.
