The coronavirus keeps on hitting European football hard. In France, the latest match to be postponed is Marseille v Nice due to 12 confirmed coronavirus cases in Patrick Vieira’s side. In Ligue 2, Nancy v Troyes is also off.
Another league match in Europe postponed because of the coronavirus. The LFP confirmed the suspension of the match between Marseille and Nice on matchday 11 in Ligue 1 due to COVID-19.
Apoarently, Patrick Vieira’s side have up to 12 positive cases in the side so the French league have decided to postpone the fixture. It was planned for 21st November.
The LFP’s protocol says that if a team has been 20 and 30 players testing negative, including a goalkeeper, the match can go ahead. But Nice have got less than 20 negative cases so the league have taken the decision immediately.
The LFP have also decided that Nancy v Troyes in Ligue 2 on 21st November is also off. That encounter was due to begin at 19:00 CET.
