PSG Looking For Fourth And Final Domestic Quadruple In French History

PSG have the chance of achieving what is going to be the last quadruple in France. There will be no Coupe de la Ligue next season amidst the disinterest of the public.

There will be a historic event on Friday. The final between PSG and Lyon will mean the permanent end to the Coupe de la Ligue, which will be retired because of the lack of public interest.

In this way, the clash between PSG and Lyon could leave the Parisians with the last ever domestic quadruple in France. If they manage it, Tuchel’s men will continue making history.

It wouldn’t be the first time that PSG win the domestic quadruple. It’s worth remembering that the Coupe de la Ligue was played for the first time in 1994, and since then, the Parisian side have won all the titles on three occasions.

The first of them was in the season 2014-15. PSG lifted the Super Cup, the French Cup, the Coupe de la Ligue, and Ligue 1. They would repeat it in both 2016 and 2018.

Now, PSG can win their fourth domestic quadruple. The last team to do so, beyond the Parisian outfit, was Manchester City last season, but in England.
