Timo Werner highlighted this Friday the potential of the German team and took the opportunity to send a warning message to Ukraine and Spain, his next rivals: “I wouldn’t like to be in your shoes”.
The German forward Timo Werner spoke about the matches that his team will play against Ukraine and Spain. He said that he would not want to be in his opponents’ shoes, who will have to face the speed of an attack formed by him, Leroy Sané, and Serge Gnabry.
“We want to beat Ukraine tomorrow and then win the League of Nations group against Spain. The three of us are very fast and very direct. I would not want to be in the shoes of our opponents,” said the Chelsea player.
Werner joined the German camp after the friendly against the Czech Republic, as did his attacking colleagues and other players such as Toni Kroos and defenders Niklas Süle and Mathias Ginter. If Germany wins the two remaining matches they will win their group without any questions.
The German coach, Joachim Löw, said that before the final stretch of the group the time for experiments is over after having made continuous rotations in previous matches.
