Miralem Pjanic Will Take Arthur’s Number ‘8’

Miralem Pjanic arrived at FC Barcelona today and finally posed with the famous blue and crimson shirt. The number ‘8’ could be seen on its back, which Pjanic will inherit from Arthur, who is heading in the opposite direction to Juventus.

Miralem Pjanic already has his assigned number for his time at Barcelona. Just as shown in his presentation, the Bosnian midfielder will wear the number ‘8’.

In this way, Pjanic will inherit the number from Arthur Melo, who he has was swapped with after an agreement between Barcelona and Juventus for more money.

He doesn’t only inherit the number from Arthur, but also from Barca legend Andrés Iniesta, who is still playing with Vissel Kobe in Japan.

For now, the new Barcelona central midfielder won’t be able to wear the number ‘8’ on the pitch. Pjanic continues to train on the sidelines after his coronavirus test came back positive three weeks ago. He will not play in the friendly against Girona.
